United Inch (UI) is simply your window’s width + height, both in inches. A 36″ × 60″ opening has a UI of 96. If your UI is under 70, you pay the flat rate of $104.06 regardless of exact size. If your UI is 70 or over, you pay $1.73 per united inch.
Formula for over 70 UI: (Width + Height) × $1.73 = your price. For example: 36″ + 60″ = 96 UI × $1.73 = $166.08.

Measure across the inside of the opening at the top, middle, and bottom. Write down all three numbers. For exterior storm window replacement, you're measuring the opening the window needs to cover — not the existing storm window frame.
